Part VII - Trip To John Creek
Trip to John Creek Hunt Camp, December 1998. Tough going on a wet creek. Tony is changing a plug here.
We had to run right past the trail because the ice wouldn't hold us. Most of the ice near shore broke when we stopped.
Despite our adventures, everyone was dry the next moring as we departed. We made a trip to Sand Bay that night.Three of us hit the bush on the way back. First I hit a stump, minor, then Budgell got stuck in a wash out trying to pass Rance, then Tony went into a 10 foot ditch(Benny's Ditch)on the pole line with a foot and a half of water in the bottom. That took us till 1AM to get out, then we had to deal with creek. What a night!!
